ArtThruThe EyeOvRa Photography Portrait Philly Photographs I really enjoyed capturing of the people I have photographed are native Philadelphians of varying backgrounds and ambitions.  Many of my favorite images are of the people being in the light of themselves.

Al has been pouring into this city and it has been documented not only by countless others and myself; but by his actions in politics, creating jobs, and affordable housing in his community in an economy proving challenging for our community.  '

So in November 2021 when Al reached out to me to portrait him in his loc stage (visibility) during his climb to

a MILLION DOLLAR bracket in Real Estate, I smiled because in that moment I knew

his ask was intentional.  He had a "Why".  Choosing me to portrait his campaign was perfect for the portrait 

stories I love to create.  Although the image below isn't the billboard image that lived at Grey's Ferry and Washington Ave for the almost two years, yet the one that speaks to how I see Al moving through this city still.  Al Allen
