ArtThruThe EyeOvRa Photography Portrait Philly Portraits I enjoyed capturing of the people I enjoy shooting the most render native Philadelphians of varying backgrounds and ambitions.  Many of my favorite images capture the people being in the light of themselves. 

Below is a photograph of Philadelphia native, Algernong Allen taken in December of 2021.  Who is Algernong? Find out about one of West Philly's most ambitious black men on Google. Allen stands tall as a community leader in Business, Family, and Education.

Al has been pouring into this city, and it has been documented by many outlets recording his tenor in politics, creating jobs, through affordable housing in an economy proving facing us all.

So in November 2021, when Al reached out to me to portrait him in his loc stage, (visibility during his climb to

a MILLION DOLLAR bracket in Real Estate), I smiled.  Because in that moment, I knew

his ask was intentional.  He had a "Why".  Choosing me to portrait his campaign was perfect for the portrait 

stories I love to create.  Although the image below isn't the billboard image that lived at Grey's Ferry and Washington Ave for almost two years, is the one that speaks to how I see Al moving through this city even still.  Al Allen
